Vance Rejects Global AI Safety Rules, Warns Labs

Vice President JD Vance dismissed calls for global AI safety regulation at a Los Angeles summit. To Anthropic co-founder Dario Amodei, who urged U.S.-China coordination on controls, he said: "If you're building Frankenstein, stop" and "If you're gonna create Frankenstein, don't come to the government and say we need regulation."
