Philadelphia names two possible data center sites, no plans filed

Philadelphia officials named sites in Northeast Philadelphia and Grays Ferry as possible locations for data centers, buildings that house the servers behind online services. As of September 15, 2026, no formal construction proposals had been filed for either site.
