Ngāti Kahungunu petition on Treaty references in laws

Ngāti Kahungunu has given Parliament a petition with 52,672 signatures, RNZ reported. It asks the Government to stop plans to change references to Te Tiriti o Waitangi — the Treaty of Waitangi — in laws. The iwi handed it to Ikaroa-Rāwhiti MP Cushla Tangaere-Manuel to formally present to MPs.
