Court Backs Parole for Youngest Snowtown Killer
South Australia's Court of Appeal upheld parole for James Vlassakis, the youngest person convicted in the Snowtown killings. Involved at age 18 in 1998, he pleaded guilty to four of the 11 murders from 1992-1999 and testified against ringleaders John Bunting and Robert Wagner. His 26-year minimum term, the earliest release point, had expired.
