Chinese state-backed investors join Carney's Toronto summit

Several Chinese state-backed investors are attending Prime Minister Mark Carney's first Canada Investment Summit in Toronto on Sept. 14-15. They include China International Capital Corp., China Investment Corp. — China's state-owned investment fund — and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority. Ottawa says any deals still require review under the Investment Canada Act, which screens foreign investment.
