Carney opens first Canada Investment Summit in Toronto

Prime Minister Mark Carney opened the first Canada Investment Summit in Toronto on Sept. 14-15. Hundreds of investors controlling nearly $120 trillion in assets were expected. Organizers listed more than 160 projects seeking investment. Ottawa describes the meeting as a place to attract long-term investment, held for years rather than quick returns.
