
21 Killed in Head-On Taxi Crash on South Africa's N1
21 people were killed early Sept. 14 on South Africa's N1 in Western Cape. Two Toyota minibus taxis — shared passenger vans — collided head-on 380km east of Cape Town, between Prince Albert and Leeu-Gamka, then a Suzuki SUV hit them. Police said 18 died at the scene, three in hospital; four were seriously injured. The highway closed.
