21 Killed in N1 Highway Crash in South Africa's Western Cape

21 people died in a Sept. 14 early-morning collision on South Africa's N1 in Western Cape. Two Toyota minibus taxis collided head-on 380km east of Cape Town between Prince Albert and Leeu-Gamka, with a Suzuki SUV then striking them. Eighteen died at the scene, three later in hospital; four were seriously injured, police said. The highway was closed.
