10-year Treasury yield holds at 4.97%, near high

The U.S. 10-year Treasury yield was 4.97% on Sept. 14, per WSJ, edging down but still near multiyear highs. Yield — the annual return for holding government debt — near 5% keeps pressure up on mortgages, business loans and credit cards. My concern is that it stays high, not just today's move.
