At Least 50 St Barts Backers Tied to Slave Trade, Register Reports

At least 50 financial backers of St Bartholomew's, London's oldest hospital, were directly involved in transatlantic trafficking, the Register of British Slave Traders reported 14 September 2026. Many donors in its Great Hall gave while invested in firms built on trafficking. Barts Health NHS Trust found further links. How a working hospital should mark that past is the question.
