Cancelled Trains: Free Switch to Other UK Operators From 20 September

From Sunday 20 September, passengers whose UK train is cancelled can board another company's train at no extra cost, ministers said. The rule, called automatic acceptance, already applies among publicly owned operators. Whether it works in practice will depend on how staff define reasonable alternative routes and manage crowded services.
