Tiffany, Pilot Swim to Safety After Emergency Landing in Lake Wausau

Rep. Tom Tiffany and pilot Leonard Boltz escaped their single-engine plane — a small aircraft with one motor — as it sank in Lake Wausau Saturday evening after losing power near Wausau Downtown Airport. They called 911 from atop the plane, swam to shallow water and waited about 20 minutes for a fire department airboat to reach them.
