BRICS Urges Middle East Restraint Without Naming Blame

BRICS leaders, from the emerging-economies bloc, in New Delhi in September 2026 agreed to the New Delhi Declaration voicing deep concern over the Middle East war and urging maximum restraint. It condemns attacks on civilian infrastructure and peaceful nuclear facilities without naming who is responsible. Iran and the UAE backed it, though Iran had struck the UAE during the war.
