Pickled onion sales by value rose 12% from a year earlier in the 12 weeks to early August, triple the 4% growth for groceries overall, according to Worldpanel by Numerator. About 8.5 million UK households bought them in the past year, with 300,000 more households buying and over 550,000 extra shopping trips.
