Onimusha: Way of the Sword sells 1 million copies on day one

Capcom announced Onimusha: Way of the Sword surpassed one million units sold globally on its first day. The PlayStation 5 title launched 4 September 2026 — the first full Onimusha entry in 20 years. The figure puts it halfway to overtaking Onimusha 2: Samurai's Destiny's 2.1 million lifetime sales, the franchise record set in 2002.
