Lawrence erases six-shot deficit to defend European Masters title in playoff

Thriston Lawrence defended his Omega European Masters title in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, erasing a six-shot final-round deficit with eight birdies in a bogey-free 65. Lawrence trailed Paul Casey, 49, who had led after rounds of 64 and 63. Both finished 18 under. Lawrence won on the fourth playoff hole at the par-four 18th.
