Strom's shoulder injury puts 78-game streak and farewell season in doubt

Fremantle All-Australian ruck Mim Strom left the field with a shoulder injury in the first quarter of Fremantle's 9.6 (60) to 5.5 (35) AFLW win over Richmond at Princes Park and did not return. Strom, who has played 78 consecutive games since her 2020 debut, announced 2026 as her final season. Coach Lisa Webb said the club was unsure whether scans were required.
