Lord of the Rings producer Barrie M. Osborne returns with new fantasy franchise Wars of the Drakons

Oscar-winning Lord of the Rings producer Barrie M. Osborne, 82, will produce Wars of the Drakons: The Seer's Prophecy, a fantasy franchise launch set in the war-torn world of Aerion, Deadline reported on 28 August 2026. The project is Osborne's first producing credit in over a decade. He produces alongside Alliance Cinema's Jeanette B. Milio and Jim Milio; newcomer Carla Romero wrote the original story.
