South African TV Host Jub Jub Arrested on Kidnapping and Firearm Charges

Molemo "Jub Jub" Maarohanye, host of SABC 1's *Uyajola 9/9*, was arrested in Johannesburg on 14 June facing kidnapping, firearm discharge, and obstruction of justice charges stemming from an incident with an e-hailing driver in Edenvale. The arrest carries weight given Maarohanye's prior conviction for a 2010 fatal drag-racing incident. A kidnapping conviction alone could result in life imprisonment.
