Two Alien sequels compete for one greenlight at 20th Century Fox

Ridley Scott's Alien: Covenant follow-up, centred on Michael Fassbender's android David, may compete for a greenlight against a sequel to Fede Álvarez's 2024 Alien: Romulus, both in development at 20th Century Fox, Álvarez producing. Scott told the L.A. Times the Covenant sequel sees David "creating a brave new world for himself." Neither film has a start date.
