Rupert Grint to play Ron Weasley in Broadway's Cursed Child

Rupert Grint will reprise Ron Weasley in the Broadway production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, announced 26 August 2026. The 16-week run at the Lyric Theatre runs 2 February to 30 May 2027. Grint played Ron across all eight Harry Potter films (2001–2011) but has never performed the role on stage. His West End credits include Mojo; his Broadway debut was It's Only a Play. Tom Felton's Broadway run as Draco Malfoy ends 3 January 2027.
