Disney confirms involuntary staff cuts underway, extending into 2026

A staff memo from Senior EVP and Chief People Officer Sonia Coleman states that involuntary staff reductions have begun in some areas and will continue into next year, Variety reports. The cuts extend Disney's restructuring beyond layoffs carried out in April and July. CEO Josh D'Amaro and CFO Hugh Johnston signalled further cost reductions on an August earnings call.
