Springsteen drummer Max Weinberg sits in with King Gizzard at Forest Hills Stadium

E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg joined King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard as a second drummer for an extended "Hot Water" at Forest Hills Stadium, Queens, on August 21, 2026. Guitarist Joey Walker told the crowd that Weinberg's son Jay — a former Slipknot drummer with a recurring King Gizzard collaborative role — was in Nashville and arranged for his father to fill in. Max Weinberg drove from Atlantic City to make the show. Rolling Stone and the band's Instagram confirmed the appearance.
