French culture ministry report accuses Mucem president Costa of sexual harassment and favouritism

A report by France's Inspection générale des affaires culturelles, the Ministry of Culture's internal inspectorate, accuses Pierre-Olivier Costa, president of the Mucem in Marseille, of "sexual harassment and favoritism" and warns the practices put the institution at risk, Le Monde and ARTnews reported. Costa was suspended on 1 July 2026. The Marseille prosecutor has broadened its investigation.
