Designs unveiled to convert former KKK building in Fort Worth into arts centre

Studio Barnes and Ch_studio have unveiled designs to convert a 1920s building in Fort Worth, Texas — once used by the Ku Klux Klan — into the Transform 1012 Center for Arts and Community Healing. The 35,000-square-foot adaptive-reuse project, preserving the brick facade, is estimated at US$70 million. The KKK vacated the building in 1927. Early construction began in August 2025.
