Cannes prize winners Fatherland and All of a Sudden anchor El Gouna's ninth edition

Cannes laureates anchor El Gouna Film Festival's ninth edition (15–23 October 2026, Egypt). Variety reports the first 10 titles include Pawel Pawlikowski's Fatherland, which shared the best director prize at Cannes and stars Sandra Hüller as Erika Mann, and Hamaguchi Ryusuke's All of a Sudden, which earned a shared best actress prize at Cannes for Virginie Efira and Okamoto Tao.
