
Sheffield United face 12-point deduction threat as £35m ownership debt heads to court
Sheffield United could receive an automatic 12-point EFL deduction if a takeover company is wound up at the High Court on 25 August 2026. Former owner Prince Abdullah's United World claims current owners Steven Rosen and Helmy Eltoukhy owe £35m and have not offered to settle. The Independent Football Regulator is engaging with the club.
