Foreign Accounts Pose as Albertans in Separatist Online Groups

A CBC News investigation revealed more than a dozen Facebook accounts operated from India, Pakistan, and Indonesia, impersonating Albertans in provincial separatist communities. Some accounts engaged in identity theft — using stolen photos and personal details from real users to amplify separatist messaging while concealing their foreign source.
