Jensen Huang Wins IEEE's Highest Honor for Building GPU Computing

NVIDIA's Jensen Huang has won the 2026 IEEE Medal of Honor, the organization's top individual award since 1917. The honor recognizes Huang's role in transforming NVIDIA into the essential supplier of parallel computing hardware—machines designed to run many calculations at once—that powers modern AI systems. His CUDA programming language, released in 2006, became the foundation for training large AI models at scale.
