Prichard Colon dies at 33, eleven years after brain injury from illegal punches in 2015 fight
Prichard Colon, the Puerto Rican boxer who spent eleven years in a vegetative state after suffering a brain haemorrhage during an October 2015 fight against Terrell Williams in Fairfax, Virginia, has died aged 33. Colon, then 16-0 (13 KOs), complained of repeated rabbit punches — illegal blows to the back of the head. A $50m lawsuit against the ringside doctor and promoters remains unsettled.
