La Trobe University awards Rani Mukerji Honorary Doctor of Letters

La Trobe University conferred an Honorary Doctor of Letters on Rani Mukerji on 14 August 2026 at The Edge, Federation Square, Melbourne, recognising three decades in Indian cinema and her humanitarian and social advocacy. Mukerji is the second Indian film figure to receive the honour from La Trobe, after Shah Rukh Khan in 2019, Variety reports.
