1-2 Special acquires U.S. rights to Sundance documentary 'Closure,' sets October 28 theatrical release

1-2 Special has acquired U.S. rights to Michał Marczak's documentary "Closure" and will release it in American theatres on 28 October 2026, Variety reports. The film, which tracks a father's search for his missing son along Warsaw's Vistula River, premiered at Sundance's World Cinema Documentary Competition in January and had been seeking U.S. distribution since. It won the Golden Alexander at Thessaloniki, qualifying it for Academy Awards submission.
