Empty seats at European Athletics Championships as fans call £150 tickets "extortionate"
Thousands of seats sit empty at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham (10–16 August). Fans called prices "extortionate" after some tickets reached £150 and a pork roll cost £18.50. Half of all tickets are £30 or lower, with adult entry from £10. BBC pundits Greg Rutherford and Jessica Ennis-Hill debated whether pricing is to blame.
