Hipkins rules out NZ First, leaving Greens and Te Pāti Māori as Labour's only partners

Labour leader Chris Hipkins has ruled out working with New Zealand First in any government he leads. The call came after a Taxpayers' Union Curia poll put Labour at 27.8 percent, down 3.7 — its lowest in that series. Under MMP, parties rarely govern alone; the decision leaves the Greens and Te Pāti Māori as Labour's only potential coalition partners.
