Russia's Last Anti-War Party Barred From 2026 Parliamentary Vote

Russia's Supreme Court barred Yabloko — the last openly anti-war party — from September 2026 parliamentary elections on August 10. A pro-Kremlin party's appeal triggered the ruling. All ten remaining parties on the ballot support the Ukraine war or decline to oppose it. Yabloko has not won Duma (parliament) seats since 2003.
