Hotel Chain Travelodge Orders Safety Review After Guests Were Put at Risk

Travelodge has asked a senior lawyer, Paul Greaney KC, to review how it handles room keys after staff repeatedly gave them to people who shouldn't have had them since 2022. In one case, a domestic abuser lied that his girlfriend was having a seizure. In another, a man pretended to be a guest's boyfriend and sexually assaulted her. MPs have previously pressed the chain on women's safety.
