Betting companies gave gamblers drugs and sex to keep them spending, inquiry told

A government inquiry heard that some betting companies gave problem gamblers drugs and sex workers to keep them betting. The federal government had suggested it might drop its new gambling law altogether. Now it says it's willing to tweak the rules that let betting ads tempt people back.
