X Closing Its Creator Pay Program, Launching a New One

X stopped accepting new applications for its Creator Revenue Sharing program on August 7 and will shut it down after September 7, 2026. A replacement called the Original Content Rewards Program will pay creators based on how many paying Premium users view their original posts — writing, photos, video, memes, or illustrations they make themselves. Current participants must reapply.
