Democrat Troy Jackson has led three straight polls over Republican Sen. Susan Collins since becoming his party's pick, Newsweek reported August 6. A WGME poll that day showed Jackson slightly ahead. Collins, seeking a sixth term, is the last Republican serving New England in Congress. The election is November 3, 2026.
