Peters: Pacific countries couldn't agree on response to China missile test

Foreign Minister Winston Peters says Pacific nations missed a chance to speak together against China firing a missile near Tuvalu. At a meeting in Fiji on 7 August 2026, Peters said some countries had already made up their minds. He would not say who. New Zealand wanted a shared response, but the group could not agree on one.
