Trump Again Targets Citizenship for U.S.-Born Babies

President Trump signed two actions on August 6, 2026. One limits automatic citizenship for babies born on U.S. soil. Another makes it harder for visitors to come to the U.S. to give birth. The Supreme Court rejected a similar plan in June 2026 by a 6-3 vote. Trump said he thinks the actions are legal but gave no details, NPR reported.
