Border agency spent nearly $1-million on private jets to deport people, records show

Canada's border agency spent close to $1-million over 13 months renting private luxury jets to deport or move people out of the country, documents obtained by researcher Ken Rubin show. One January 2022 flight cost $438,000 to remove just three people. The agency says these charters are rare and used only in exceptional situations.
