Homebuilder Persimmon raises 2026 goal to 12,500 homes, expects boost from PM Burnham's housing plans
Persimmon, a major UK homebuilder, raised its 2026 goal to about 12,500 new homes — the top of its earlier estimate — saying it stands to gain from Prime Minister Andy Burnham's housing plans. First-half profits rose 15% to £168m. The company warned that Middle East conflict could push up costs in 2027 and has started cutting spending across several areas.
