Jetstar to charge passengers for overhead storage

Jetstar announced on 5 August 2026 that passengers will pay A$25–A$52 per flight to put carry-on bags in overhead storage bins. Those who don't pay can bring only a small bag under the seat. The fee varies by route and starts next year. Jetstar joins other budget airlines in charging separately for things once included in the ticket price.
