Parliament's Speaker won't act over Peters' remark

The Speaker (Parliament's referee) Gerry Brownlee refused a Greens request to make Winston Peters apologise for telling Green MP Lawrence Xu-Nan to "go back to your own country." Brownlee said the request came too late, citing free speech. Peters has refused to apologise. PM Luxon called the remark racist.
