Government blocks plan to remove limit on Pacific seasonal workers

Immigration Minister Erica Stanford wanted to scrap the yearly limit on Pacific workers coming to New Zealand under the RSE scheme. Newly released papers show Cabinet colleagues blocked the idea before it reached a final decision. Stanford's office said it was considered but dropped ahead of the RSE announcement.
