Natural Gas Price Check Coming August 5

On August 5, FRED reports July's actual U.S. natural gas price. Gas futures closed at $2.69 per unit on August 4 — about 80 cents below what the EIA forecast back in January. With prices averaging $2.95 this year, the new number shows whether real prices are catching up to the forecast or staying low.
