Greens: extreme heat is the biggest threat to Britain since the war

Green Party leader Zack Polanski said extreme heat is "the biggest threat to this country since the Second World War." He said Labour had failed its duty and urged Prime Minister Andy Burnham to hold an emergency government meeting (known as Cobra) on wildfires and drought, pay for grants to help households stay cool, and update the UK's wildfire plan.
