Luxon used military plane after party fundraiser, saying no other flights were free

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon used a military plane to fly from a National Party fundraiser in Whanganui to Auckland on 23 July. He said no regular flights were available and the pilots needed practice hours anyway. Labour's Chris Hipkins called it a "personal taxi service." Government rules say ministers should stay politically neutral, and Luxon didn't directly address that.
