Tens of Thousands Cross into Spanish City Ceuta; Over 80 Dead

Ceuta is a Spanish city on Morocco's coast. In late July 2026, over 60,000 people crossed into it in two days. More than 80 died — some drowned or were crushed at a sea wall. Spain sent extra troops and police. Interior Minister Grande-Marlaska said "almost all" who entered had left by Saturday.
